Smarter Surfaces Black Chalkboard Paint does not require installation by professionals. This blackboard paint is suitable for anyone to apply.

You can apply Black Chalkboard Wall Paint using a roller or spray. For the best results, we recommend using a mohair, foam or smooth link free roller.

Step 1 - Ensure you have an even surface before application. A smooth surface will provide good results.

Step 2 -  Use water-based White Primer for bare or untreated surfaces, before applying Black Chalkboard Wall Paint.

Step 3 - Prepare the surface by filling any defects and sanding the surface smooth.

Step 3 - Apply another primer if required - after sanding.

Step 4 - Apply two coats of Black Chalkboard Wall Paint, allowing the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.

Step 5 - Wait 48 hours, then condition your blackboard surface by rubbing a piece of chalk all over your surfaces and wiping off with a dry cloth or duster.
