Do it with <a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"\/product\/whiteboard-paint-white\/\">Smart Whiteboard Paint<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Follow these instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Measure Your Area<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Measure your surface accurately making sure you\u2019ve purchased enough paint<\/li>\n<li>Each tin of Smart Whiteboard Paint is formulated to cover the recommended area &#8211; don\u2019t stretch it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prepare<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cover the area around your surface with protective covering<\/li>\n<li>Check and fill any holes or cracks on the surface (this will make the surface smooth enough to paint)<\/li>\n<li>Sand your selected area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prime<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply 2 coats of <a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"\/product\/white-primer-paint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">white primer<\/a> to your surface (3 if over magnetic paint plaster)<\/li>\n<li>Please note: Ordinary emulsion \/ latex paint is not suitable as a primer<\/li>\n<li>If painting <a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"\/product\/clear-whiteboard-paint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smart Whiteboard Paint in Clear<\/a>, use a <a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"\/product\/clear-primer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clear sealer<\/a> if painting over any of the below surfaces<\/li>\n<li>a new wood or composite material<\/li>\n<li>a new porous or dry material such as plaster or concrete<\/li>\n<li>over porous surfaces such as wallpaper<\/li>\n<li>Use any roller\/brush to apply the primer<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the surface is clean and dry prior to painting<\/li>\n<li>Drying time takes 2-4 hours between coats and 12 hours after the final coat has been applied<\/li>\n<li>To apply you will need a new roller, a brush and a tray, as any contact with water or solvent will cause a reaction with Smart Whiteboard Paint. This will affect its performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All set ? Pass the roller over the entire surface 10 times to ensure a generous and even coating<\/li>\n<li>Upon completion of each one metre section, examine the painted surface from three angles for any imperfections, missed spots or areas of uneven application. Apply more <a href=\"\/product\/whiteboard-paint-white\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smart Whiteboard Paint<\/a> as required<\/li>\n<li>Ensure each metre section has adequate Smart Whiteboard Paint to create a writing surface, before moving on to the next one metre section<\/li>\n<li>Once the first one metre section is complete and has been inspected, move to the second section and repeat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now it\u2019s time to leave the surface to dry. Please note the \u2018Ready to Use\u2019 date, when users will be able to start writing on\/wiping off the new Smart Surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drying Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Affix the \u2018wet paint\u2019 sign alongside your painted surface<\/li>\n<li>Smart Whiteboard Paint will be touch dry after 5 hours and will be ready to use as a whiteboard surface after 7 days<\/li>\n<li>The performance of Smart Whiteboard Paint will continue to improve over the first 30 days<\/li>\n<li>For the first 14 days of use we recommend cleaning your surface daily<\/li>\n<li>For best results, use Smarter Surfaces accessories or any high quality <a href=\"\/product-category\/accessories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">whiteboard accessories<\/a> available from our store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That\u2019s it.
